Boneless Ground Elk
Pastured New Zealand Elk. Exceptionally Lean.
Our Boneless Ground Elk is ground in-house in small batches, sourced from pastured elk that are farm-raised in New Zealand.
This elk is hormone and antibiotic free and not enhanced. It has been previously frozen at negative 10 degrees and is ready to feed. Elk is one of the leanest red meats available, running even leaner than venison, which makes it a strong option for pets who need to manage their weight, have sensitivities to fattier proteins, or do best on a lower-fat protein in rotation. It's also a genuine novel protein for elimination diets, since most dogs and cats have had little to no prior exposure to elk. It pairs well with several of our supplemental raw food base mixes and works well in either a raw or homemade cooked diet.

Raw Feeding Fact
Elk antlers are the fastest-growing tissue known in the animal kingdom, capable of adding up to an inch of new growth in a single day during peak season. To fuel that growth, a bull elk temporarily pulls calcium and phosphorus directly from his own skeleton, then rebuilds that bone density once the antlers harden. That same mineral-dense biology carries over into the meat itself, which runs naturally rich in phosphorus and iron relative to its very low fat content, making elk a nutrient-dense option even in small portions.
