Raw Dog Food

What goes into our raw dog food

We buy fresh, USDA-approved meat every week and portion it ourselves. We don't add preservatives or use HPP, and nothing gets sprayed or treated before it's frozen. Our grinds follow a prey model mix of muscle meat, organ and bone, with proteins like pastured chicken, beef with green tripe, duck, rabbit and bison. Once your dog is doing well on one protein, rotating in a second one is an easy next step.

How raw dog food delivery works

Orders ship frozen by FedEx and UPS to the 48 continental states, packed in insulated boxes with dry ice and ice packs. The box and coolant are already included in the shipping rate. Frozen orders need at least 10 pounds, and one box holds up to 50 pounds, so ordering in 50-pound increments gets you the best rate. Orders over $200 ship free (this can't be combined with other discounts).

Plan on about a week for processing. West Coast orders go out on Mondays, East Coast and Midwest orders on Tuesdays, and Southeast and Florida orders on Wednesdays. If you live within 30 miles of our Miami shop, local delivery is a flat $20.

Starting your dog on raw

A pre-made grind is the simplest place to start because the meat, organ and bone ratios are already worked out for you. Stick with one poultry grind, like chicken or turkey, for the first week or two before adding new proteins. Most adult dogs eat about 2 to 3 percent of their ideal body weight each day, usually split into two meals.
