Whole Prey Quail - Small
A Whole Meal In A Two-Ounce Package.
Our Small Whole Prey Quail are week-old birds fed whole, with the muscle, bone, organs, and feathers all included in a single, portion-friendly meal.
Whole prey takes the guesswork out of balancing a raw diet, since the proportions of meat, bone, and organ are already built into the animal. At about 2 ounces each, these quail are sized for cats and small to medium dogs, and they can also be fed to larger pets in multiples. If you have a bigger dog or want a heftier bird, we also carry adult whole prey quail. Our quail are all sourced in the USA.
Raw Feeding Fact
A quick way to portion whole prey is to start from daily food intake, which for most adult cats is roughly 2 to 3 percent of body weight. For a 10 pound cat, that works out to about 3 to 5 ounces a day, or roughly two of these quail. Adjust up or down based on your pet's body condition, and remember that a day's food doesn't have to be a single bird.
