Our new Rabbit Grinds are made from whole rabbits ground with organs and fur intact (no intestines or head), giving your pet a complete raw meal with natural fiber in every serving. Rabbit is one of the most hypoallergenic proteins available, making it an excellent choice for dogs and cats with food sensitivities, skin issues, or a history of reactions to more common proteins like chicken or beef. It is lean, highly digestible, and rich in essential amino acids. This grind can be fed as a complete meal, though supplementing is recommended to close any nutritional gaps. Cat owners must add a taurine supplement.
Raw Feeding Fact
In the wild, carnivores regularly consume the fur of their prey along with the meat, and it serves a functional digestive purpose. Fur is largely indigestible, so it acts as natural roughage, or fiber, moving through the digestive tract. Many raw feeders find this roughage helps firm up stool and supports natural anal gland expression, similar to the role bone content plays in a balanced raw diet. Because the fur here is finely ground rather than whole, pets can get this natural fiber benefit without the choking or hairball risk associated with consuming large clumps of fur.
