Kangaroo Chunks

$16

Wild-Harvested. Whole Chunks. High in Zinc & Iron.

The same wild kangaroo leg meat as our ground kangaroo, cut into whole chunks for pets who do better with something to chew.

Sourced from Australia and also known as boneless Denver leg meat, these chunks are hormone and antibiotic free. Kangaroo is extremely lean and naturally high in zinc and iron, and as a boneless muscle meat it can be fed as part of the roughly 80% muscle meat portion of a balanced raw diet. This is a seasonal item with limited availability, so stock can vary. As with any exotic meat, introduce it slowly and in small amounts.

This listing is for 1 LB of raw kangaroo chunks.

Raw Feeding Fact

A kangaroo's hop is powered mostly by elastic energy stored and released in its long Achilles tendons, almost like a pogo stick, rather than by continuous muscle exertion the way a running dog or grazing cow works. Because the tendons do so much of the mechanical work, kangaroo leg muscle carries very little intramuscular fat compared to other red meats. It's a big part of why this meat stays this lean naturally, without any trimming needed.
