Bison Green Tripe
Unbleached, GREEN, And Unmistakably Potent.
Our Bison Green Tripe is the raw, unprocessed lining of the bison stomach, a staple of raw feeding known for supporting digestive health and for an aroma that most dogs find irresistible.
Tripe comes from the stomach of ruminants, animals like bison and cattle that digest tough plant matter through a multi-chambered stomach. The "green" refers to tripe that hasn't been bleached or scalded, which preserves the natural contents of the stomach lining and its strong smell. That smell is a big part of its appeal, making it a useful way to entice picky eaters or to top a bowl that needs a boost. It's commonly fed as a daily addition to support gut health and GI balance, and it pairs well with several of our supplemental raw food base mixes.
Raw Feeding Fact
The tripe sold for human cooking and the green tripe sold for pets are the same organ, but the processing is opposite. Human-grade tripe is washed, bleached, and often boiled until it turns pale and nearly odorless, which strips away much of what makes green tripe distinctive. If you ever see white, scentless tripe labeled for pets, it has been through that same process, so a strong smell is actually your sign you're getting the real thing.
