Freeze Dried Elk Velvet Antler Chips
Freeze Dried. Pure Elk Velvet. Thin-Cut Chips.
Our Freeze Dried Elk Velvet Antler Chips are thin-cut chips made from pure elk velvet antler, harvested humanely from responsibly raised, pastured elk.
Velvet antler is the soft, rapidly growing tissue harvested before a bull elk's antlers calcify into hard bone, and it's naturally rich in collagen, minerals, and essential amino acids. It's a popular natural option for supporting joint health, mobility, and overall vitality, and its softer, freeze-dried texture makes it a gentler chew than a fully hardened antler.
Feeding Fact
Velvet antler and hardened antler chews are actually very different products, even though they come from the same animal. While antlers are growing, they're covered in velvet, a layer of skin over cartilage and a dense network of blood vessels, and it's this immature, still-forming tissue that's harvested here, before it calcifies into the hard, bone-like antler used for long-lasting chews. That's why velvet antler is prized as a soft, nutrient-dense supplement rather than a hard chew: it's collected at the stage when it's richest in collagen, growth factors, and minerals, before most of that soft tissue mineralizes away.
