Anchovies
Wild-Caught. Whole Fish. Pure Omega-3.
One of the richest natural sources of omega-3 we carry, our whole anchovies are wild-caught off the coast of California and used by many raw feeders as a fresh alternative to bottled fish oil.
Small, oily fish like anchovies sit low on the marine food chain, which means they carry far less mercury and other heavy metals than larger, longer-lived fish like tuna or swordfish. This is an important factor to consider when choosing a fish source for daily feeding. Each fish is fed whole, bones, skin, and all, and typically runs 3 to 6 inches long depending on the catch. Anchovies pair well with our supplemental raw food base mixes and can be fed raw, mixed into a homemade diet, or used as a fresh topper over kibble.

Raw Feeding Fact
Not all omega-3s are equal. Plant sources like flaxseed provide ALA, a form dogs and cats convert into the more active EPA and DHA very inefficiently, only a small percentage actually gets converted. Anchovies deliver EPA and DHA directly, the same ready-to-use forms found in fish oil supplements, without needing any conversion. Most muscle meat is naturally higher in omega-6 than omega-3, so working a marine source like this into rotation helps balance that ratio, which plays a role in skin and coat health, joint comfort, and a healthy inflammatory response.
