Whole Prey. Freeze Dried. Single Ingredient.

A complete, whole-prey treat with nothing removed and nothing added. Quail heads are freeze dried raw to lock in nutrients exactly as nature packaged them: brain, bone, beak, and all.

Freeze Dried Quail Heads are a small, nutrient-dense treat that checks every box for raw feeders who take whole-prey feeding seriously. Each head contains soft, porous bone that is safe and fully digestible when crunched down, along with raw brain tissue, which is one of the richest natural sources of DHA and phospholipids available in any treat format. Shelf stable, lightweight, and genuinely high-value, these work as a daily treat, a training reward, or a whole-prey topper for dogs and cats already on a raw diet.

Raw Feeding Fact

The brain tissue in whole prey heads is one of the most concentrated whole-food sources of DHA (docosahexaenoic acid), the omega-3 fatty acid that makes up a major structural component of the cerebral cortex, retina, and synaptic membranes. Unlike fish oil supplements, brain tissue delivers DHA alongside a full spectrum of phospholipids and plasmalogens, which research has shown to be more bioavailable than isolated omega-3 supplements. A study published in Prostaglandins, Leukotrienes and Essential Fatty Acids found that phospholipid-bound DHA is absorbed and incorporated into neural tissue at significantly higher rates than free-form DHA. For dogs with cognitive function concerns or developing puppies, brain-containing whole prey treats are one of the few food-form sources of this compound.
